Aug 23, 2016 | Events

Dog Ears Bookstore & Café, 688 Abbott Road, Buffalo, will host local author Brendan J. Cunningham for a book-signing event at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Cunningham’s “Potato Chips for the Soul” is an easy and fun read for those who want a quick pick-me-up or want to take a seriously brief mini-vacation from the toils of everyday life. This is a tongue-in-cheek version of the heartwarming stories that one can read in the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series. Cunningham’s version offers 102 quick-read stories offering great advice and guaranteed to make you smarter and a more interesting conversationalist when you finish. Bet you can’t read just one!

An author, speaker, former talk show host, and Shakespearean trained professional actor, Cunningham has always pushed the limits. His groundbreaking second book, “The Seventh Sense: The Key to Effectiveness in Life and Business,” has already created quite a stir in the self-help field and is based on a success formula he discovered and continues to use while working with clients who benefit from his business coaching. His first book, “Tricks of the Trade: A Real Estate Broker’s Inside Advice into Buying and Selling a Home,” is a must-read for any savvy real estate investor.

With over 1,500 speaking engagements to his credit throughout the U.S. and Canada, this former Fortune 500 business consultant currently makes his home in South Buffalo. He holds a B.A. in psychology/sociology from SUNY at Stony Brook and a MS certificate in leadership and organizational change from Daemen College. He is also a licensed real estate broker in New York.
