A collaboration between Buffalo Brew Fab and artist Ken Newton has resulted in the production of a six- by four-foot steel buffalo cutout featuring a beer-themed mural painted by the local artist. This unique piece of art will now travel around town before being raffled off to one lucky winner on Friday, March 8. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Niagara Arts & Cultural Center.
The buffalo was cut from a sheet of carbon steel on a CNC Plasma Cutter. A mural on the buffalo features the names and/or logos of more than 20 local breweries on a variety of beer bottles, cans and glasses.
Raffle tickets for this one-of-a-kind piece of local art will be sold for $20 each during a number of brewery stops leading up to the the Art of Beer beer- and food-tasting event taking place from 6 to 9 p.m. March 8 at the Niagara Arts & Cultural Center, 1201 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls. The first stop for the beer mural and the first opportunity to purchase raffle tickets will be at the World of Beer Bar & Kitchen location in the Walden Galleria from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2.
