Jun 13, 2017 | Sports Scene

The Buffalo Bills will host the sixth annual 50 Yard Finish 5K and Kids’ Mile Run on Saturday, June 24, at New Era Field. The 5K portion of the event begins at 9 a.m. on a certified course that begins on Abbott Road in front of the stadium and finishes through the player tunnel on the 50-yard line of the Bills field. Following the completion of the 5K, it’s the kids turn to finish at the 50 as a children’s fun mile begins at 10:30 a.m.

The first 1,200 registrants will receive a race shirt, a souvenir finisher medal, and will enjoy a post-race celebration and awards ceremony on the field featuring Billy Buffalo and special Bills guests. IMPACT Sports Performance will be part of the festivities as they will lead all runners in a pre-race warmup at the start line.

Spectators are permitted in New Era Field to cheer on runners and take photographs. The scoreboard will also broadcast the race participants as they complete the 50 Yard Finish.

For fans who wish to participate in the race, registration is available online at buffalobills.com/50yardfinish. Registration for the 5K is $35 until June 22 and $40 thereafter, including any registrants on the morning of the race at the event. The children’s fun mile is $15, including race day.

Packet pickup and on-site registration will take place at the ADPRO Sports Training Center on Friday, June 23, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 24, from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Those participants who choose to come on Friday, June 23, will have the opportunity to tour the Buffalo Bills weight room located in the ADPRO Sports Training Center.
