Chestnut Ridge Park Oktoberfest Gala and Fundraiser set for October 27

Oct 10, 2018 | Events

The Chestnut Ridge Park Oktoberfest Gala and Fundraiser will hold its seventh annual event within the Chestnut Ridge Park Casino on Saturday, Oct. 27. The event features a menu of German favorites including a lavish dessert bar and entertainment by accordionist Joe Maloy.

WGRZ-TV News Anchor Maryalice Demler will be the master of ceremonies for the evening’s festivities, which will begin at 5 p.m. and conclude at 9 p.m.

“This was previously held at another venue but moved to our iconic park last year,” remarks Gordon Panek, president of the Chestnut Ridge Conservancy, the not-for-profit board that makes improvements to the park and holds various free events for the public throughout the year. “We had such a great turnout due to the fall colors at their best at this time, plus the view from the top of the Casino hill is cherished and unique!”

The gala will honor Liz Cash, who will be receiving the Raymond A. Fabiniak Guardian Award. Cash is a founding member of the Chestnut Ridge Conservancy.

Tickets for $125 are still available and can be purchased from any board member or through the organization’s website at ChestnutRidgeConservancy.org.

The Conservancy works closely with the Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry and wishes to acknowledge their cooperation to make this annual event occur.
