Four Western New York businesswomen have recently joined forces to open a unique wellness group that provides holistic and comprehensive services — and physical and emotional wellness — for women and their families through pregnancy, birth and beyond.
Located at 726 Main St. in East Aurora, Creative Motherhood at Creative Wellness Center East Aurora offers services such as prenatal and postpartum yoga, support groups, doula services, massage, childbirth education, essential oils and breastfeeding support. Creative Motherhood’s goal is to assist and serve women (and families) in order to prepare for a positive and healthy start for the transition to motherhood.
Making up the Creative Motherhood team are Molly McDermott, director of Creative Motherhood, prenatal and postpartum yoga, support groups and doula services; Rachel Carreras Tibold, childbirth education, use of essential oils, doula services and breastfeeding support; Nicole Maples Covert, childbirth education, doula services and breastfeeding support; and Amy Hartl, Licensed Massage Therapist experienced in prenatal and postpartum massage.
Some of the benefits of services provided by Creative Motherhood include physical, mental and emotional preparation for birth; relief from physical ailments in pregnancy and postpartum; knowledge and support for a positive birth experience; reduction in stress; prevention of physical, mental and emotional difficulties after birth; and relationship building and bonding with baby, partner, new moms and moms-to-be.
The public is invited to come meet the Creative Motherhood team and learn more about the services provided during their monthly Meet the Doula Night from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18. Meet the Doula Nights will be held on the third Monday of each month from 7 to 8 p.m. The events are free and light refreshments will be served. Registration is recommended but not required.
