Cathleen J. Lang, author of My Little Light, will visit Dog Ears Bookstore & Café for a book-signing event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26. Dog Ears is located at 688 Abbott Road in South Buffalo.
My Little Light tells the bedtime routine of a happy, thankful little girl. As mom reads her a bedtime story and dad gives her a piggyback ride, she feels safe in the glow of her bedside lamp, her “little light.” Drifting off to sleep, she remembers all that she is thankful for. Whether it is read as a bedtime story or as a quiet evening prayer, My Little Light is enjoyable for the entire family. This story will remain in young hearts through each night and for a lifetime.
Lang began writing My Little Light as a child. Many years later, she added stanzas to expand and complete the wording for the book. As a gift to their mom and a labor of love, her sons Stephen and Michael illustrated My Little Light using images from their family’s own bedtime. Cathleen is especially proud of her children and is very excited to share My Little Light with others.
A coloring contest will also be part of the Nov. 26 event at Dog Ears.
