The popular Elmwood Village Farmers Market, featuring nearly 40 vendors selling fresh, seasonal and local produce and products, continues on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Bidwell Parkway in Buffalo’s historic Elmwood Village. Hours at the open-air market, a program of the Elmwood Village Association, are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, rain or shine, through November.

Entertainment on Oct. 21 will feature the Nickel City String Band from approximately 9:30 to 11 a.m. and Birdie Cree from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Hosting the market’s community group tables will be United Healthcare, Big Big Table Community Cafe, The Friends of the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter and English Language Arts at Lafayette International High School.

Field & Fork Network’s “Double Up Food Bucks” program continues at the market. The program provides low-income individuals who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits with a $1 for $1 match, up to $20, to purchase fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables. Please stop at the Elmwood Village Association tent during market hours for more information.
