Holiday music tradition continues with Vocális Chamber Choir

Nov 11, 2018 | Arts & Culture

Vocális Chamber Choir invites listeners to relax to the sweet sounds of an intimate choral Christmas at its presentation of A Vocális Christmas.

Concerts are Friday, Nov. 30 at 8 pm, at S.S. Peter and Paul Church, 5480 Main St., Williamsville; and Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m., at Karpeles Manuscript Museum, 220 North St. at Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo.

“The holiday season is a time of traditions, spreading cheer, goodwill and the message of peace,” says Vocális Director James Burritt. “Now more than ever, the choir is eager to share this message through music.”

Vocális will present both traditional and contemporary carols from throughout history including music by Sweelinck, Rutter, Leighton, Gjeilo and Buffalo composer Caroline Mallonee. Also included will be many seasonal favorites including Jingle Bells, Silent Night, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Carol of the Bells.

Tickets for each concert are available at the door, one hour before the program,  at $15 for adults and $10 for students. For more information, please visit www.vocalischamberchoir.org.
