Impact Wrestling stars to appear in North Tonawanda

Sep 29, 2017 | Sports Scene

Impact Wrestling’s Ethan Carter III and Braxton Sutter are set to square off alongside Western New York’s best wrestling talent as Empire State Wrestling (ESW) returns to the St. Johnsburg Fire Hall, 7165 Ward Road, North Tonawanda, on Saturday, Oct. 7. Doors open at 5 p.m. with a bell time set for 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 for second row and $12 for general admission. All tickets increase $3 at the door.

Ethan Carter III, also known as EC3, is the current Impact Grand Champion and also held the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on two occasions. The Cleveland, Ohio native is also known for his stint on World Wrestling Entertainment’s season three of NXT.

Sutter looks to continue his impressive winning streak as he has yet to be defeated in 2017. The West Seneca native extended his winning ways by beating Beyond Wrestling star J.T. Dunn at the last event.

Oliver Street Express is set to defend the ESW Tag Team title after beating the team of Alex Daniels and Kevin Blackwood in August. Also scheduled to appear is the newly formed faction consisting of Blackwood, Jerk Cockins, the Caesar and Lady Lala.

ESW promotes eight shows a year, primarily held at the St. Johnsburg Fire Hall in North Tonawanda, boasting crowds of over 400 wrestling fans who come to cheer the good guys and boo the bad guys of the sport. Larger “super show” events have been held at the Kenan Center in Lockport and Frontier Fire Hall in Niagara Falls, drawing crowds of up to 1,000.
