Larkin Square to celebrate six years of Holiday Live at Larkin

Nov 22, 2017 | Entertainment

Holiday prep has begun in Larkinville! Larkin Square is gearing up for its sixth annual KeyBank Holiday Live at Larkin from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1. The event will feature favorite traditions including live music and food trucks, plus the new addition of a holiday tree lighting ceremony.

“The holiday season is always a magical time in Larkinville,” said Larkin Square Director of Fun Leslie Zemsky. “We’re excited to celebrate the holidays and support the Food Bank of Western New York with the community in our growing neighborhood. Our team is grateful for the generosity of KeyBank and Independent Health, allowing this event to be free.”

KeyBank Holiday Live at Larkin will feature a small vendor market with products from Larkinville businesses including Flying Bison Brewing Company, Buffalo Distilling Company and more. Elizabeth Gurney will be selling her handcrafted “Elizabeth’s Granola,” with all proceeds supporting the Food Bank of WNY. Local music group Robot Holiday, a collective of local musicians, will be rocking all night with their unique spin on holiday favorites, with proceeds of their CD sales being donated to the Food Bank of WNY.

The Filling Station, located in Larkin Square, will be serving up seasonal specials such as mulled wine, hot bourbon cider and chili.

Admission and parking for Holiday Live at Larkin are free thanks to Larkin Square’s presenting sponsor KeyBank and sponsor Independent Health. Ride sharing is encouraged to Larkin Square events. Free parking is available in the event lot at 111 Hydraulic St. and the lots along Exchange Street.
