Legends & Stars event in Batavia to feature more than 20 athletes

Legends & Stars, a company formed to provide a first-class event experience for sports collectors and fans, will bring more than 20 athletes to Batavia Downs Gaming Center Oct. 27 and 28 for autograph appearances. Batavia Downs is located at 8315 Park Road.

Scheduled to appear on Saturday, Oct. 27 are NFL greats Kelvin Benjamin, Ken Anderson, Mark Clayton, Mark Duper, Irving Fryar and Steve Grogan. Also on the schedule are NHL standouts Pat LaFontaine and Matt Barnaby, and MLB stars Ron Guidry, Jack McDowell and Andy Van Slyke.

Football takes center stage on Sunday, Oct. 28, with appearances by former Buffalo Bills John Davis, Marv Levy, Mark Maddox, Andre Reed, Kurt Schulz, Billy Shaw, Antowain Smith, Bruce Smith and Darryl Talley, and a special appearance by Dallas Cowboys great Emmitt Smith!

Also appearing both Saturday and Sunday will be actor Dwier Brown who played John Kinsella in the movie Field of Dreams.

Admission to the event, which will also feature dozens of sports card and memorabilia dealers from across the country, is just $8. Children under age 12 will be admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Individuals 18 and older will receive a $7 free play voucher for the casino with the purchase of admission to the Legends & Stars event. Additionally, paid admission will include one free autograph from Barnaby on Saturday and Schulz on Sunday.
