Living with Diabetes sessions to be held at the Rural Outreach Center

Jan 19, 2018 | Events

Those living with diabetes know it is a challenging condition that must be monitored closely. This includes blood work, medications, food choices, exercise routines, fluid intake and planning ahead to maintain good health.

Come and join a group of people who want to learn more about diabetes by participating in five free sessions offered at the Rural Outreach Center, 730 Olean Road, East Aurora, on Feb. 13, 20, 27 and March 13 and 20, all from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Don Birdd, a retired science professor from Buffalo State College, is the group leader. Birdd has “walked the walk” and has lived with diabetes for over 20 years. He will be providing current research material on ways to achieve and maintain good health.

For more information or to register, please contact Ruthie Hunt at (716) 220-4834 or Birdd at (716) 652-8197. There is a maximum of 12 individuals per session.
