Local Keller Williams Realty associates celebrate top real estate ranking in the nation

Jan 29, 2018 | In the News

Founded in 1983 in Austin, Texas, Keller Williams Realty launched with just 32 real estate agents. Thirty-five years later, Keller Williams offices across the country are celebrating a steady growth that has propelled the company to the #1 spot of the national real estate ranks in three categories: Agent count (165,642), sales volume ($300 billion) and total closed units (1,047,223).

Locally, Keller Williams Realty associates have even more reason to celebrate. In 2017, the company became the third largest residential real estate brokerage for closed sales in Western New York, led by its Northtowns office that now ranks number one among residential real estate offices in Western New York by sales volume and total closed units. Keller Williams, which first entered the Buffalo market in 2004, also takes one-third of the top spots with five real estate agents placing among the Top 15 agents in Western New York last year. Locally, they are #1 in Days on Market, meaning on average their agents sold homes faster.

The Keller Williams Upstate New York Region is made up of more than 1,400 associates, with Market Centers located in Williamsville and Lancaster. A celebration was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at the Buffalo Northtowns Market Center, located at 5500 Main St., Suite 108, Williamsville.

“Our mission at Keller Williams is to build careers worth having, businesses worth owning, lives worth living, experiences worth having and legacies worth leaving”  said Karen Mock, partner in the Western New York Keller Williams offices and CEO of the Williamsville Market Center. “Through years of hard work and determination — and outstanding customer service — we are now the real estate company of choice both locally and nationally.”

“We are incredibly proud of our accomplishments, both locally and nationally,”added Joe Rivellino, Team Leader of the Lancaster Market Center. “None of this would be possible without our dedicated associates, who work tirelessly on behalf of both buyers and sellers in the community and do so while always giving back to the Western New York region through initiatives such as RED Day and KW Cares, a public charity created to reach out and support others during times of need and hardship.”

Keith Carlins, owner of the local Keller Williams real estate offices, said that it was a steady growth that led the company to the top of the real estate ranks. “Every conversation, every client, every family and every home has led us to this moment,” he said. “The future for our company, our associates and our clients has never looked brighter!”
