Northern suburban living to be showcased in popular tour

Aug 21, 2018 | Events

The 10th edition of the popular Buffalo LIVING Tour takes to the northern suburbs on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“We are returning to the Northtowns to tour the many upscale residences for rent,” remarks Paul D. Maurer, Buffalo LIVING Tour chairman.

Six upscale communities will be showcased this month. As with all of the previous events, the entire Buffalo LIVING Tour is free.

To make it even more of a special event, there will be different attractions hosted by the community owners. The headquarters for the tour will be The Belvedere at 375 Harris Hill Road in Lancaster, which is putting on a free luau as their attraction.

To take the tour, people are encouraged to go to www.BuffaloLivingTour.net and download and print the pamphlet, a complete tour guide and map. For those who see all the locations, special prizes will be awarded including a Toronto trip, store gift cards, restaurant certificates and tickets to upcoming events.

Attendees can start anywhere on the tour or take the free We Care shuttles which will originate at The Belvedere and continue to all locations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day.

Here are the Northtowns properties that will be toured, listed in the order that the shuttles will follow (and the most efficient driving pattern):

The Belvedere, 375 Harris Hill in Lancaster, between Wehrle Drive and Genesee. The Belvedere is designed to be a renaissance in active adult living.  Many amenities can be found here at this just-opened community. Highlights include a heated outdoor pool with pool house. Some features include a putting green, on-site resident fitness center, a billiard room and a pub. The grounds boast a nature path and a forever-wild wooded area to enjoy. Natale Development promotes living at The Belvedere as “right-sizing,” leaving your large home yet not sacrificing things like ample space and lifestyle comforts.

Next stop is Waterford Townhomes, 9005 Calpin Parkway off of Roll Road in Clarence Center. The newest community of its kind has one-, two- and three-bedroom units available for lease. Amenities include master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, in-unit washer/dryer, attached garages, ceiling fans, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal and oversized closets. An attractive community room is on-site and – coming soon – a pool. Dogs are allowed, too!

Then it’s on to Vinecroft Retirement Community, 5945 Vinecroft Drive, tucked away in a country setting but close to Transit Road with shopping and all the services one needs close by. Vinecroft Retirement Community is for seniors over the age of 62 who want to live independently while enjoying extra little perks, including meals throughout the day. Choose from apartments in the main house or spacious townhomes right on the grounds.

In nearby Williamsville is Fayebrooke Senior Apartments, 1805 Maple Road, where luxury meets convenience. Fayebrooke offers remarkable value at Amherst’s premier senior community. The location is ideal, near Transit Road for shopping and medical offices and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. A cozy lounge with a stone fireplace, fitness room, theater and a courtyard patio make for an ideal home setting. Apartments have granite countertops and many luxury touches.

Another brand new living space has just come online in Amherst at 4034 Rensch Road near UB North. Ellicott Development proudly adds 12 brand new market-rate apartments which include bistro-style kitchens with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, in-unit laundry, air conditioning and off-street parking. Renters will be close to a plethora of restaurant choices and the bustling sports, educational and entertainment options at New York State’s largest public university.

Last but certainly not least is the Remington Lofts on the Canal at 184 Sweeney St. in North Tonawanda. Nestled on the historic banks of the Erie Canal in North Tonawanda – halfway between downtown Buffalo and Niagara Falls – Remington Lofts on the Canal offers beautifully appointed one- and two-bedroom apartments in an award-winning and historically important re-purposed factory; both fine and casual dining are at your doorstep!

The event is all free and open to the public. No reservations are required.
