Roycrofters moving to the rink!

Jun 1, 2018 | Arts & Culture

The Roycrofters-At-Large Association’s 42nd annual Summer Festival is moving to a great new location! In order to take advantage of proximity to the Village of East Aurora and the pavilion-style roof offered by the new venue, this annual event will take place the weekend of June 23-24 at the Healthy Zone Rink at Main and Riley streets. The show will run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

With this new location, patrons can park once and take advantage of everything that the village has to offer, from Main Street shops and restaurants to a variety of weekend events. Visitors to the Summer Festival can expect to see the very finest in wood, metal, jewelry, clay, prints, book arts, glass and more produced by fine artists and craftspeople, many of whom have gone through a rigorous jurying process. Those participants displaying the “double R” mark represent the very strongest in quality workmanship and design.

Special events will include artisan demos and a community art project, sponsored by MUSEjar, where the public is not only invited — but encouraged — to participate. Artisan demonstrations will also be ongoing throughout the weekend under the roof.

There will be a $5 admission charge which includes entry into a raffle for a gift certificate from the Roycroft Inn. In addition, raffle tickets for the RALA “goodie box” will also be available, with the raffle, which is held annually, to take place on Sunday, June 24, near the end of the show. The goodie box contains many items created by Roycroft Artisans and Master Artisans and is valued at over $7,000!
