The West Seneca East Spirit Boosters, the West Seneca West Sports Boosters and the West Seneca Police Benevolent Association are hosting a USATF-sanctioned 5K run and walk on Thursday, June 22.
The race will start and finish at Veteran’s Memorial Park (Legion Drive and Union Road) in West Seneca. Registration starts at 4 p.m. at the shelter on Legion Parkway and the race will begin at 6:30 p.m., rain or shine. The pre-registration fee is $25. After June 6, the registration fee is $30.
The first 225 people to preregister receive an exclusive dry-fit race T-shirt. All fitness levels welcome! This event is designed for the whole family to enjoy. Kids 10 and under are free with paid adult registration. Everyone participating receives a finisher’s ribbon. Age group awards to follow at the finish during the post-race party.
The booster clubs are nonprofit organizations. Collectively, the clubs have given back more than $250,000 to the students through mini-grants and scholarships to graduating seniors. All proceeds from this event will be used to continue the support of the residents in the West Seneca Central School District.
