Vents Magazine premieres new Jennafer Lynsey music video

May 16, 2018 | Entertainment

Buffalo pop singer/songwriter Jennafer Lynsey is debuting her new music video for her second single “Lights,” exclusively with Vents Magazine. “’Lights,” a sweet, mid-tempo number that showcases Jennafer’s fluid vocal style, was co-written with her writing partner Keesy Timmer (Kelsea Ballerini) and produced by Matt Squire (Ariana Grande, One Direction, Selena Gomez). The song is “about feeling lost in life, in any situation,” Jennafer explains. “Everyone knows the feeling of being lost or alone, and I want Lights to provide hope and help people to look to the light and trust that, in the end, it will all work out.”

Growing up in upstate New York, Jennafer caught the music bug in her tweens.  Performing in a fifth grade talent show solidified that singing was what she was meant to do. The next year, trouble with her sixth grade best friend inspired her to start songwriting in an effort to express her feelings. Fast forward to today and Jennafer has had quite a few “pinch me” moments. Within the last few years she moved to Nashville, worked with accomplished musicians, wrote outstanding songs, recorded with Greg Archilla (Matchbox 20, Collective Soul), signed to Loud & Proud Records, and worked with Matt Squire, who also produced her first single, “Face To Face,” a no holds barred, relatable song about what it feels like to be drawn to someone who lives hundreds of miles away.

Since releasing “Face To Face,” Jennafer’s profile has significantly heightened with appearances on local Buffalo television network affiliates for NBC, ABC and CBS. Her social media following has increased on YouTube, where she vlogs about not only music but also lifestyle interests like make-up, fitness and fashion — and on Instagram where her followers have more than tripled. Jennafer has also performed regularly at hometown spots such as Clarence Center Coffee Shop, Penny Lane Café, and Spot Coffee in downtown Buffalo.
