Solar energy has been making a lot of headlines recently, from the construction of a huge solar facility in Buffalo to tariffs on solar panels from specific foreign countries. But one thing is certain: Solar energy is here to stay and it’s attracting new customers every day!
The Early Days
South Buffalo residents Tyler and Alicia Uebelhoer opened Buffalo Solar Solutions in the Summer of 2015, pouring their personal savings into the business venture and dedicating themselves to providing customers with the best possible service and a pressure-free sales approach. Their hard work and dedication to clean energy has certainly paid off, and the company now has offices in both South Buffalo and Cuba, N.Y. In fact, both offices recently completed moves into larger facilities to meet the needs of a growing customer base!
The Buffalo Solar Solutions team is full of passion for green energy, and they take a special pride in treating all of their customers like family!
Solar Consumers Realize Significant Savings
In 2017, customers of National Grid were stunned when the electric company asked the Public Service Commission for a significant electricity delivery price increase. Customers making the switch to solar energy, however, are discovering that they simply do not need a utility company to produce — or deliver — their electricity.
For example, when a consumer has solar panels installed and the equipment is eventually paid off, the solar consumer is only responsible for paying a basic hook-up fee which is currently just $15 to $17 a month. The annual savings can be dramatic!
Solar Shines in Warm or Cold Climates
While sunny states like California lead the U.S. in solar deployment, northern homeowners and businesses still have much to gain from installing solar panels. Just as people don’t require full sunshine to see, solar panels don’t require full sunshine to produce electricity.
In fact, solar panels work best in colder climates. On a sunny and extremely cold day with no snow coverage on the panels, they are actually functioning at peak capacity!
Education is Key
Before offering any products to their customers, the staff at Buffalo Solar Solutions conducts extensive research to ensure that customers are getting the best product possible and a great price. With today’s incentives, solar tax credits and $0 down financing, the company tells customers that if they can afford to pay their monthly electric bill, they can afford solar.
Come with your energy bills, your questions, your skepticism! There is a lot of misinformation out there regarding solar energy. When you meet with Buffalo Solar Solutions, customer education is extremely important. You will leave with the knowledge to make an informed decision whether solar energy is right for your situation.
Plenty of Options
While rooftop systems are the most visible, there are other options such as pole-mounted and even an attractive pergola design. Stop by Booth #226 to see what system is best for your lifestyle.
Want to experience an actual rooftop installation? Visit the Buffalo Solar Solutions booth during the Buffalo Home Show for the public unveiling of their new Virtual Reality Experience! Filming for the VR experience took place in December 2017 during a rooftop solar panel installation in Pavilion, N.Y., a small town in Genesee County. Putting on a VR headset, participants in the VR experience will be taken not only to the rooftop but down into the basement to witness a complete rooftop solar panel installation — top to bottom — in just under four minutes! With the VR system, you’ll feel like you’re actually on the rooftop seeing the professionalism and workmanship as it occurs. For many undecided consumers, it will be a game-changer!
