Mar 2, 2018 | Events

Approximately 40 vendors selling handcrafted items, original artwork and a wide variety of unique collectibles and memorabilia will take part in the Collectors & Artisans Expo from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10. The event will take place in the historic Buffalo Irish Center, located at 245 Abbott Road, Buffalo.

Highlights of the Expo will include:

• Antique appraisals by Water Valley Antiques. The cost is just $2 per item for three appraisals for $5.

• Participation by Irish authors Sinead Tyrone and John McGlarry, who will be selling and signing their books throughout the event.

• Members of the Buffalo Bandettes professional dance team will stop by to sign autographs and pose for photos with their fans from 11 a.m. to noon, while Buster Bison will visit from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Bring a camera!

• All guests will receive a free pack of vintage baseball cards at the door while supplies last.

• The Buffalo Irish Center’s talented culinary team will offer Irish dining specials, including a corned beef or roast beef sandwich and a pint for $12, or a bowl of Westport potato soup for just $4.

• Volunteers from the nonprofit Pet Connections Programs Inc. rescue shelter will also be on hand selling their popular dog and cat tote bags filled with treats for our four-legged friends. All money raised through the sale of totes will support future animal rescues.

Admission is $2; children under 10 will be admitted free with a paying adult. All proceeds collected at the door will be donated to Bishop Timon – St. Jude High School, Mount Mercy Academy and the Buffalo Irish Center.
