Vocális Chamber Choir will continue its 15th anniversary celebration with a gala fundraising reception at the new Hotel Henry, located at the renovated Richardson Olmsted Complex in Buffalo. The gala will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 2.
“The Richardson Complex is truly an architectural gem in our community, and we are incredibly pleased to host one of the first events at Hotel Henry,” said Vocális Director James Burritt. The event will give attendees a early look at the long-awaited renovations of the historic property. The gala includes music by Vocális, elegant hors d’oeuvres, open bar and a silent auction.
Vocális is dedicated to building bridges through song in the Western New York community. Burritt notes that, “Proceeds from the gala reception will support our efforts to bring internationally acclaimed choral composer and conductor Bob Chilcott to Buffalo for a three-day residency next spring. Mr. Chilcott is a prolific composer of choral works for both children’s and adult choirs and travels the world as an ambassador for choral singing. We are so proud to welcome him to Buffalo to celebrate his music and to have him share his talent and insights with the youth of Western New York.”
