West Side Bald for Bucks raises $47,221

All five of the schools on the west side of the West Seneca Central School District came together the evening of Friday, April 8 for West Side Bald for Bucks.

West Side Bald for Bucks had 88 participants shave their head or donate eight or more inches of hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, and 40 participants received a colored hair extension. The evening also included a basket raffle with 150 baskets, a raffle for an autographed Jack Eichel hockey stick, nail painting, face painting, magic by Dan Sova, balloon animals by Punkin the Clown and a concession stand. There were even visits by special guests DJ Anthony from Kiss 98.5, the Buffalo Bandits, Wesley the Wildcat from West Elementary and Chip from the Buffalo Bisons!

As of April 11, all of the following students raised over $1,000: Nicole Kalota ($1,675, West Middle), Devin Dulinawka ($1,000, West Middle), Kyle Usinski ($1,350, West Middle), Emma Varney ($1,115, West Middle), Michael Witt ($1,259, West Middle), Aiden DiLucente ($1,070, West Elementary), Nolan Kos ($1,350, West Elementary), Casey Palmer ($1,948, West Elementary), William Pulit ($1,000, West Elementary), Jordan Stampfer ($1,570, West Elementary), Joshua Viney ($1,250, West Elementary), Jason Fritz ($1,525, Allendale Elementary), Carson Guise ($2,186, Allendale Elementary), Aidan Trimper ($1,095, Allendale Elementary) and Madison Tobin ($1,075, Winchester Elementary).

West Side Bald for Bucks raised a total of $47,221.77!

“I am so incredibly proud of all our students and enjoyed the opportunity to bring all of our west side schools together for one fabulous evening,” shared Aimee Smart, social worker at West Middle. “It was great for us to unite for a common cause.”

In addition to the many local businesses, families and staff who made the basket raffle possible, many thanks go to Great Clips, Continental School of Beauty, West Middle Honor Society student volunteers, West Senior Academy of Visual Arts student volunteers, Carmen’s Catering and Just Pizza.
