Dog Ears Bookstore & Café will host author Lissa Marie Redmond for a book launch party from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the nonprofit bookstore located at 688 Abbott Road. Redmond will also speak about her latest book, A Means to an End, at 5 and 7 p.m.

Redmond is a retired cold case homicide detective from Buffalo. During her career she handled a number of high-profile cases and appeared on numerous television shows including Dateline and Murder by Numbers. Her short fiction has appeared in Buffalo Noir, Down & Out: The Magazine and various publications. 

The first book in her Cold Case Investigation series, A Cold Day in Hell, was published by Midnight Ink Books followed by the sequel, The Murder Book. A Means to an End is her latest book in the series. For more information, please visit www.lissamarieredmond.com
