The Buffalo Bandits recently announced that the team has signed forward Tehoka Nanticoke to a two-year deal, pending league approval.

Nanticoke (6’1”, 230 lbs., 1/18/1998) enters his third professional season after registering 39 points (21+18) and 31 loose-ball recoveries in 13 games in 2022-23 for the Bandits. Nanticoke was tied for the team lead in playoff goals during the Bandits 2023 NLL Championship run and finished the postseason with 23 points (15+8) in six games.

The Six Nations, Ontario native set career highs in games played (18), goals (32), assists (19), points (51), and loose-ball recoveries (53) during his rookie campaign in 2021-22. Nanticoke was selected by the Bandits in the first round of the 2021 NLL Entry Draft (No. 3 overall). Nanticoke was the No. 1 high school lacrosse recruit in 2017 and played collegiately at the University of Albany. In 40 career games for the Great Danes from 2017 to 2021, Nanticoke recorded 170 points (109+61) and picked up 45 ground balls.

Nanticoke led Albany in goals (50) and points (82) as a freshman in 2018 and was named the America East Rookie of the Year. He was also named to the America East All-Conference First Team in both 2018 and 2019. Nanticoke was also a member of the Iroquois Nationals at the 2019 World Lacrosse Men’s Indoor World Championships.
