Buffalo ‘Batman’ adds more book signings to meet demand

May 3, 2019 | Events

“Buffalo’s Best Batman” is continuing his book signing tour with the announcement of several new appearances, following the successful launch of his memoir, The Ballad of Buffalo’s Best “Batman” in March.

“I am beyond excited and humbled that my book has been favorably received by the community, and that there is a demand for additional signings,” said author William Lorenz, Jr., an attorney at the law firm of HoganWillig who has been performing as a charity superhero for the past five years. His book chronicles his journey to become “Buffalo’s Best Batman,” including his early years of martial arts training.

Lorenz’s next book signing, in costume, takes place on Saturday, May 18, at Dog Ears Bookstore, 688 Abbott Road in South Buffalo, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lorenz will then appear in costume at Foxprowl Collectables, 440 Ellicott St. in Batavia, on Saturday, May 25, from 12:30 to 3 p.m.

“Buffalo’s Best Batman” will then appear in costume at Dave & Adam’s Store, 8075 Sheridan Drive in Williamsville, on Friday, May 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. as part of the store’s “Family Fun Friday” series.

The miles will continue to rack up on the Batmobile as Lorenz will then journey to the Clarence Public Library, 3 Town Place in Clarence, on Saturday, June 29, from noon to 3 p.m. to sign books in costume, followed by an in-costume signing and discussion at the Hamburg Public Library, 102 Buffalo St. in Hamburg, on Saturday, July 13, at a time to be announced.

Lorenz’s book will be available for purchase at every event for $15, which includes an autograph and photo with “Batman.” A portion of the proceeds of every book sold will be donated by Lorenz to Mercy Flight Inc.

The Ballad of Buffalo’s Best “Batman” is published by NFB Publishing, and may be purchased in person at the signings or through Amazon and Amazon Kindle. Limited copies of the book are also currently available at local stores including Queen City Bookstore, Iron Buffalo and Dog Ears Bookstore.
