Buffalo Bisons to once again offer ‘Peanut Reduced Seating’

Feb 19, 2016 | Sports Scene

For a second consecutive season, the Buffalo Bisons will offer fans “Peanut Reduced Seating” for select home games at Coca-Cola Field in 2016. In partnership with Skeeter Nut Free, the Bisons will designate certain sections of the ballpark’s club level as “peanut-reduced” for five games (one per month of the season), giving fans with allergies a worry-free ballpark experience.

The five “Peanut Reduced” games is an increase from three during last season; Friday, April 15 vs. Rochester (6:05 p.m.), Saturday, May 7 vs. Syracuse (1:05 p.m.), Tuesday, June 14 vs. Durham (7:05 p.m.), Wednesday, July 20 vs. Norfolk (1:05 p.m.) and Sunday, August 14 vs. Pawtucket (1:05 p.m.).

A special Skeeter Nut Free Ticket Pack is currently available for all five games. For only $18, the Skeeter Nut Free Ticket Pack includes a game ticket, a Sahlen’s hot dog on a peanut-free roll, a Coca-Cola soft drink and Skeeter Nut Free Cookies. This pack can only be ordered in advance and by contacting Bisons’ account representative Nick Iacona at 846-2211 or ni*****@bi****.com.

Single-game tickets for any of the five “Peanut Reduced Seating” games will be available when Bisons single-game tickets go on sale on Saturday, March 19. Those tickets must also be ordered in advance and by contacting Bisons’ account representative Nick Iacona.

While the Bisons are excited to welcome in fans that might not have previously been able to attend games at Coca-Cola Field, the team would also like to caution those fans with severe peanut allergies that because Coca-Cola Field is an open air facility, there is no way to absolutely guarantee any area of the ballpark is 100 percent free from peanuts or shells. Every possible effort will be made to ensure that Peanut Reduced Seating will be safe for all fans.
