The Buffalo Bandits will enter three youth lacrosse teams into the fifth annual Jr. NLL Tournament at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, Ontario, which runs from Aug. 25 to 27. Each team will hold tryout sessions on June 12 and 18.

All three teams will be coached by current Bandits players, tentatively scheduled to include Dhane Smith, Ryan Benesch, David Brock and Craig England. The teams will participate in the NLL-sponsored tournament, which will be played using NLL rules. Age groups for the three teams are below:
• Pee Wee (born in 2005 or after)
• Bantam (born in 2003 or 2004)
• Midget (born in 2001 or 2002)

The tryout fee is $39 per player, but will be waived for any player who was on the Jr. Bandits last summer. Each player that tries out for a team will receive a Bandits practice pinnie, a ticket to a 2018 Bandits home game, a 2017 Bandits yearbook and team photo, and an autographed photo of a Bandits player. Each player that makes a team will be required to pay a team fee of $450 to cover the cost of the Jr. NLL Tournament and another tournament to be announced at a later date.

The tryout sessions for each age group will be held at Buffalo RiverWorks, located at 359 Ganson St., Buffalo. Tryout schedules are as follows:
