Commentary: This driver does not see me!

When you open a vehicle door at night in the path of traffic and you are standing outside the vehicle, you could, in fact, be standing in front of the light or reflector and thereby preventing another vehicle driver from seeing both you and your opened vehicle door.

Sadly, it is estimated that over 50 percent of all the vehicles produced have no light and no reflector on the inside of the door. As a result, and estimated 100 lives per night, across the globe, are needlessly lost, and there is not one motor vehicle safety standard to prevent this from occurring.

I have solved this issue and the needless loss of life by allowing all oncoming vehicle drivers to see an opened vehicle door with my Zone of Illumination. Even if a person is standing in front of the opened door, the oncoming driver will still see the Zone of Illumination, at night, at the speed of light and from over 1,000 feet away!

If you are questioning what I am saying, please take a good look at the photo above showing an opened vehicle door at night and tell me what you would see on that vehicle door without my patented Zone of Illumination?

We can do far better simply by seeing what we don’t see now!
