Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union began serving their members in 1957. Today, 65 years later, they have more than 46,000 members and continue to add locations to best serve them.
Cornerstone recently chose Concept Construction Corp as their construction manager in the first step toward assembling the best team possible to design and build their newest facility. Located at 5810 S. Transit Road in Lockport, plans call for a brand new façade and a completely new designed interior.
“It’s going to look great,” says Vince Ricotta, VP of Business Development at Concept Construction. “We are completely reconstructing the existing 3,400-square-foot space and have already finished the interior demolition.”
The architect team of Fontanese, Folts, Albrecht and Ernst were hired to design the project. “It’s been a pleasure working with the entire team,” says Cornerstone’s President & COO Mary Scheib. “Everything just came together nicely and we can’t wait to showcase the completed work to our members.” A new 3,800-square-foot teller building is also included in the overall project scope and is designed to safely and efficiently serve members.
