Dog Ears Bookstore plans annual gala

The eighth annual Dog Ears Bookstore Gala will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Buffalo Irish Center, 245 Abbott Road, South Buffalo. The theme for the event is “Buffalo Beats & Eats,” a celebration of local music and cuisine.

Providing musical entertainment will be the Charlie O’Neill Unplugged Club and Gimme Buffett. Additionally, more than 20 local restaurants will participate in a “Taste of the City” event during the gala. Beer and wine will be included in the ticket price, including a special beer-tasting event by Certo Brothers Distributing.

Gala tickets are $50 and are available in advance at Dog Ears Bookstore & Café, located at 688 Abbott Road, Buffalo. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door. This is a 21 and older event.

A basket auction and silent auction will also take place during the gala, as well as Dog Ear’s “Lucky Dog Raffle” where one winner will receive a cash prize of $3,000! Tickets for the “Lucky Dog Raffle” are $20 each and only 300 will be sold.
