A launch party celebrating the release of Lissa Marie Redmond’s latest book, The Parting Glass, will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 6, at Dog Ears Bookstore & Café, 688 Abbott Road, Buffalo.

This is book five in Redmond’s Cold Case Investigation Series. Copies will be available for purchase and the author will be happy to sign any of her books on June 6. Free refreshments will be provided.

In The Parting Glass, “Riley and Reese keep a step ahead of the Garda and solve the complicated case … in a stunning Irish landscape, making this far more than an ordinary procedural,“ proclaims the Kirkus starred review, awarded to books of exceptional merit.

“The detectives realize they can trust no one, not even the local Garda. This engrossing procedural builds to an unexpected outcome,” wrote Publishers Weekly.

Redmond is a retired cold case homicide detective from Buffalo. During her career she handled a number of high-profile cases and appeared on numerous television shows including Dateline and Murder by Numbers. Her short fiction has appeared in several publications.
