Jun 18, 2018 | Events

The popular Elmwood Village Farmers Market, featuring nearly 40 vendors selling fresh, seasonal and local produce and products, is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Bidwell Parkway in Buffalo’s historic Elmwood Village. A program of the Elmwood Village Association, the open-air market runs rain or shine through November.

Entertainment on June 23 will feature Brendan & the Strangest Ways from approximately 9:30 to 11 a.m. and the Nickel City String Band from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Hosting the market’s community group tables will be United Healthcare, Explore Buffalo, University Heights Tool Library and Erie County Department of Social Services Foster Parenting.

Again this year, the market will act on its mission to provide increased access to fresh, healthy food by offering an EBT program. The market’s Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) system allows individuals and families receiving public assistance to purchase products from eligible market vendors. Please visit the Elmwood Village Association tent for details.
