EMPact America to host garden class

EMPact America of New York will be hosting a free Grow Your Own Garden Class for all interested Western New York residents. The free class will take place on Saturday, Jan. 23, starting at 11 a.m. at their facilities located at 7615 Seneca St., East Aurora.

Class will start off with Master Gardener Paul Kranz of the Cornell Cooperative Extension. He will cover topics such as how to prepare, plan, layout options, seed ordering and how to prepare for your outdoor garden.

At 1 p.m., Linda and Patrick Galla of Mother Earth Hydroponics will talk about the various types of indoor gardening options. The options include hydroponics, container gardening and other gardening techniques.
