A Chili/Chowder/Soup Cook-off to benefit the SPCA and a fun-filled Paint Night are just two of the exciting things happening at Exit 2 Bar & Grille, located at 3191 Eggert Road in Tonawanda.
The second annual cook-off, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 13, hopes to build on the success of last year’s event which raised more than $3,000 for the SPCA. Joining the fun this year will be WNY Heroes, Inc., a local organization that helps soldiers through innovative programs such as Pawsitive For Heroes, an initiative that matches service or therapy dogs with local veterans.
The cook-off will feature live music by SoundProof, a basket auction, silent auction, 50/50 raffle and more. Participating sponsors include Southern Wine & Spirits, Empire Liquors, KTB Bucking Pig BBQ and WNY Heroes. Donations for the basket and silent auctions are still being accepted, and pickup can be arranged by calling 837-2523. Tickets for the cook-off are just $25 and include product sampling, an open well bar and draft beer. Tickets are $20 for those participating in the cook-off or donating to the auction.
Paint Night takes place at 6 p.m. Monday, March 14, at Exit 2. Tickets for this fun-filled evening of food, drink, music, laughter and paint are just $35 per person and must be purchased in advance due to limited seating.
