Historic Riviera Theatre announces ‘Arrival from Sweden’ and ‘Soul Superstars’

The Historic Riviera Theatre and Performing Arts Center announces  “Arrival From Sweden” – The Music of ABBA – at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 and “Soul Superstars” – featuring Charlie Thomas’ The Drifters – at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016.

“Arrival From Sweden” was founded by Vicky Zetterberg in 1995 Gothenburg, Sweden. “Arrival” soon became one of the world’s most popular and most selling ABBA show bands. Since the start in 1995, the band has toured over 35 nations and appeared on several TV and radio shows all over the world. “Arrival From Sweden” is the world’s greatest ABBA tribute show. “The Music of ABBA” tours the world together with ABBA original musicians. This production is the closest you ever will get to see ABBA. Reserved tickets are available for $30.

According to the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, “… the Drifters managed to set musical trends and give the public 13 chart hits, most of which are legendary recordings today.” With hits like “Under the Boardwalk,” “On Broadway,” “Save the Last Dance for Me” and many more, Charlie Thomas’s The Drifters will put on a show you will never forget. 2015 Vocal Group Hall of Fame inductees The Contours (with Joe Billington) (“Do You Love Me”) as well as consistent Show Stoppers The Shades of Blue (“Oh How Happy”) round out an outstanding night of Entertainment!
