Mary Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School, Cheektowaga’s only Catholic elementary school, is currently accepting applications for two teaching positions.
The first opening at the school, located at 170 Rosewood Terrace off George Urban Boulevard, is for a full-time, long-term substitute beginning Jan. 3, 2017 through Feb. 24 (possibly longer). This is a Secondary ELA Teacher position for Grades 6-8. This position is also the 8th Grade homeroom teacher.
Requirements include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, New York State certification in English 6-12, knowledge of the NYS Common Core ELA curriculum and ELA modules for Grades 6-12, the ability to work collaboratively with others, good time management and organizational skills, and the ability to lead a classroom with patience and flexibility. Two years teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Additionally, MQA is accepting applications for an anticipated full-time opening for a Universal Pre-K3 teacher. Requirements include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, NYS Certification in Early Childhood B-2, knowledge of the NYS Prekindergarten Foundation for the Common Core, the ability to work collaboratively with others, good time management and organizational skills, and the ability to lead a classroom with patience and flexibility. Two years teaching experience is preferred but not required.
