Mary Queen of Angels School welcomes new principal

Kristen Hada, a resident of Cheektowaga, has been named principal at Mary Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School, 170 Rosewood Terrace, Cheektowaga.

A parishioner of St. Andrew Church in Sloan, Hada most recently served as assistant principal in the high school and elementary school of the Southwestern School District in Jamestown. Previously, she served as curriculum coordinator for the Cattaraugus Little Valley Central School District through Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES, and as the response to intervention specialist and administrative intern (Pre-K-12th grade) for the Pioneer Central School District.

Hada earned her master’s degree from Medaille College in Buffalo and her bachelor’s degree from Daemen College in Amherst. A graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Cheektowaga, she also has a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Building and District Leadership from SUNY Fredonia.

“I look forward to my position of principal at Mary Queen of Angels School with great enthusiasm,” said Hada. “I support and recognize the importance of assisting our families in the education and growth of their children academically, spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically. Receiving a Catholic education myself has greatly shaped me as an individual and has instilled in me good values that I carry with me in all my life’s endeavors.”
