Mount Mercy Academy’s Music Department recently traveled to California to compete in the World Strides Heritage Music Festival in Hollywood. The school sent members of the Pure Magic Show Choir, Magic Belles Hand Bell Choir and Women’s Choir.
The groups were judged and scored by three judges and all three groups were awarded Gold Medal designation. All three groups are directed by Fred Kirisits, Mount Mercy’s long-time director. Justine Kish- Podsiadlo, a 2005 graduate of MMA, is the choreographer for Pure Magic.
