Official Snoopy character to visit Pumpkinville

Sep 29, 2016 | Entertainment

Snoopy will be meeting the public this Saturday, Oct. 1, from noon to 4 p.m. This exclusive visit is a result of Pumpkinville being named one of the Top 10 Pumpkin Farms in America.

Peanuts Worldwide, the corporation overseeing the Charles Schultz estate, contacted Pumpkinville earlier this year and is partnering with the Great Valley tourist attraction on the 50th anniversary of the animated film It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

“Snoopy’s visit is another piece of Fall Family Fun that we’re so proud of at Pumpkinville,” said Dan Pawlowski, who owns the nationally recognized, agri-tourism attraction with his wife Diane and their children. “Snoopy will be available for photos and lots of fun.”

Meeting Snoopy and photo opportunities are free, just like admission has always been at Pumpkinville. They’re open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Oct. 31. The oldest continuously working pumpkin farm in New York State draws 100,000 during its six-week season.

In addition to Snoopy’s visit, Pumpkinville is unveiling their new Pumpkinville Express Train. This new, trackless train takes riders to places in Pumpkinville where they’ve never been before. Other attraction include the Punchin’ Pumpkin Maze, the Pumpkin Jumpin’ Pillows, hayrides, Henhouse Five Review, cow train, gem mining, farm animals and much more.

Don’t forget the main attraction – pumpkins! With more than 25 acres growing in what Linus would call “the most sincere pumpkin patch,” you’ll find the perfect pumpkins for decorating. Whether you like the traditional orange pumpkins or the many new types of size, color and shape, Pumpkinville will have it. All you need to do is select your own for a special jack-o-lantern, or choose from a variety of pre-painted pumpkins.

A former winner of New York State’s Agri-Tourism Business of the Year, Pumpkinville is just minutes from Ellicottville at 4844 Sugartown Road in Great Valley. Please visit http://www.pumpkinville.com/ for more information.
