Reports to: Director of Social Work
Qualifications: Masters of Social Work with “C” license. Must have sensitivity to the needs and concerns of the rural poor and issues of poverty. Must have strong service delivery capacity, including communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and cooperatively with Director of Social Work and counseling staff, volunteers, Board members, ROC Participants, and consultants. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and have a car and valid driver’s license. Good computer skills.
Hours: FT with some flexibility in hours; may require some evening and weekend hours.
Salary: Based on level of experience.
Location: Office in East Aurora. We serve southern Western New York.

Job Description: The ROC is a rapidly growing organization for the rural population serving Erie and Cattaraugus County as well as other parts of rural southern tier. The ROC’s model of care is distinguished to help individuals and families work toward self-sufficiency. Mental health counseling is an important part of this work. This person will work within the counseling department to provide clinical counseling to adults and children. This includes mental health evaluations, assessing participants using standardized assessments/screening tools, treatment plans, goals settings, crisis assessments, documentation in accordance with requirements, some group programs. We offer play therapy, Progressive Counting (PC), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and other forms of mental health counseling.
