Jan 23, 2019 | In the News

The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce and the GEICO Local Office in West Seneca are teaming up to offer a series of six free lunchtime events in 2019 featuring a variety of interesting business leaders. The GEICO Power Lunch Series is open to both Chamber members and nonmembers, and all events will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the large meeting room in the West Seneca Community Center & Library located at 1300 Union Road.

The second speaker in the lunch series, visiting on Tuesday, March 19, will be Susan McCartney, PhD, MBA, director of the SUNY Buffalo State Small Business Development Center, who will talk about incentives and programs available locally to assist business owners.

“The Small Business Development Center provides management and technical assistance to start-up and existing small businesses throughout Erie County and the Niagara Frontier,” said Joe Kirchmyer, executive director of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce. “It brings together the resources of SUNY Buffalo State, the private sector and government agencies to counsel and train small businesses to resolve organizational, financial, marketing, technical, and other obstacles they may encounter.”

A light lunch will be provided for attendees, and each event will also include Q&A with the speaker and an opportunity to network with other guests. While the events are free and open to the public, seating will be limited and reservations are required. To reserve a seat at the March 19 event, please email di******@we********.org or call 674-4900.
