In an effort to once again replenish our local food pantries, the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce will host its second Community Food Drive of 2023. This one will take place throughout the month of July.
“Inflation has hit families hard, which is making it difficult on our local food pantries,” said Joe Kirchmyer, executive director of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce. “Our January Community Food Drive was an incredible success and we’re hoping we can come close to repeating that effort. The need in our community is year-round.”
Nonperishable food items and personal care products can be dropped off at the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce office in the West Seneca Community Center & Library, 1300 Union Road, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday during the month of July. Pick-ups for larger donations can be arranged by contacting the Chamber of Commerce at 674-4900. Please check all expiration dates as we cannot distribute expired products!
Secondary drop-off locations include Armstrong’s Barber Shop, 2852 Seneca St.; GEICO Local Office West Seneca in the Southgate Plaza; and Western New York Federal Credit Union, 1937 Union Road.
